Instructors:

Precision Execution cadre of instructors all possess significant military or DIB experience, a wide array of implementation and assessment experience to a wide range of frameworks including NIST 800-171, FEDRAMP, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, CMMI and others. They all bring cyber implementation and assessment experience to the classroom. They are not only competent, they work hard to make the course fun and interesting! All Precision instructors conduct assessments assuring interpretations and battle stories are confidential but can relate to students.

More Course Description:

Part I – We start our journey together by describing why cyber is relevant to Precision, the challenges facing the DoD Supply chain and status of existing compliance to legal requirements by the DIB. We cover the prerequisites and process for taking the CCP Exam. Key implementation issues such as the CMMC scope and the right amount and type of objective evidence we need to demonstrate conformance. We parce the numerous nuances involved with identifying the types of information that need to be protected, how to mark CUI correctly and manage it through the lifecycle. Implementers need to know how and which reference and source documents to refer to if they need a deeper dive on a cyber hygiene control.

Part II – Our first version of this course, in March 2020, was built as a BOOTCAMP. For each domain, we follow the same pattern, which is to help students understand and implement the domain. We cover what the CMMC assessors will be looking for, an infinite number of examples and demonstrations of tools that can help you get from here to there and apply the CASE STUDY often. Students will see examples policies, procedures and plans that meet the requirements and some that fall short.

Part III – The course progresses to a logical closure with a detailed module on the CMMC Assessment Process (CAP). Our focus is to ensure implementers are crystal clear about what deliverables they are responsible for, when and on what forms might they actually use. We introduce System Security Plans (SSPs) and tie all the units together. This is done through the use of a CASE STUDY, a fictitious defense contractor. We encourage intellectual curiosity as students will engage in lively debate as exercises will cover all the topics we covered in the course and challenge you with the many nuances in “CMMC world.”
